Lil' Help?

Everyday, the only thing that keeps me working out is listening to the awesome tunes on my mp3 Player. You should see me at the gym: chugging away on the elliptical, tapping the beat on the rim, lip-syncing my guts out and seriously trying to ellipticize (word?) in tempo. I’m pretty sure everyone there privately refers to me as "that poor schizophrenic girl."

But after 11 months, I’ve seriously started to wear out all my best dance/workout songs. And while I switch them out as often as I can, I now realize the sad truth. I need some new music! If you have any favorite dance/workout songs to suggest, I’d love to hear about them…anything with a good beat. I definitely need some new material; I’m desperate here! Heaven forbid I lose all interest and my 6-year anniversary rolls around without a lither, slimmer Jenny! My dress size is in your hands!!!!

Oh my gosh, this is a great post. I'm getting sick of my workout playlist too. I'll post some of my faves later.

Hey Jenny, I don't work out, but whenever this song comes one I dance like crazy, (and I am quite certain I look like Elaine from Seinfield) and I end up getting a pretty good work out just from the dancing alone! It is "Paralyzer" by Finger Eleven.

Hmmmm... I'm interested to see the replies! I'm a runner that has a buddy in Jonathan, so I don't listen to much music. That and I usually have the jogging stroller out with me. I'm rather paranoid about not hearing something and a catastrophe occurring! Good luck! Sorry I couldn't be more help!

Lifehouse--the album, All the Right Reasons is totally rad...it's full of rockin' songs.

ARGH---I meant Nickelback's album....but Lifehouse is good, too!

You know what I love to do? Go to iTunes and search the iMixes for cool music. I just did a search for Workout and Exercise and then sort by highest rated and there's a ton of really cool music!

Here's a link to one with a bunch of good ones (beware of explicit!)

Workout Music!

I think one of my favs on that list is "Such Great Heights" by the Postal Service, great song!

I was definitely going to suggest some Madonna from Ray of Light, Justin Timberlake, fast Martina McBride, Chemical Brothers, Beastie Boys, Gwen Stefani, my Sarah McLaughlin techno dance remix album, Metallica and some AC/DC, INXS, Toadies (always rule), and Ashley suggests Three Days Grace.

I'm afraid I can't help you, I am not very music savvy and I loathe working out. But when the time comes, I'll borrow from your list and your suggestions. Stay strong, Jenny!
