Raingutter Regatta

Okay, I don't want to brag or anything----but my amazing son took 2nd place in his age division at the Raingutter Regatta!  GOOOOOOOOOOOOO GRUNDBERGS!

We actually had a pretty fun time with this thing.  The raingutter regatta is similar to the pinewood derby, only you sand, paint and decorate little boats instead of cars and race them in (you guessed it) raingutters!  It was surprisingly satisfying to make that little boat!

And it was even MORE satisfying watching Stevie CREAM everyone with his fantastic boating skills!  He's a born sailor!  Steven coached him quite a bit on straw-blowing technique, and apparently it paid off.

Just one of the many races he won!

Look at that form!
Afterwards, they made a HUGE banana split in one of the raingutters, and the scouts ate right out of the trough!  It was awesome!  And disgusting!

We're feeling pretty good about our winnings this year.  WAY TO PLAY, STEVIE!
