Stevie's First Basketball Game

Stevie started basketball this year, and it's fabulous. Here's a pic of their huddle before their first game.


So of all the sports we've tried out for the boys, Basketball has definitely been MY favorite. Sure, you have the novelty of tiny people with bats and helmets in T-ball; you've got the mob-like mentality of soccer. But in basketball, they actually keep SCORE! And there's constant (and sometimes hilarious)action.


And to top things off, Stevie LOVES IT! You should see this kid in practice. Even when Coach Andy huddles them up for instruction time, Stevie is literally running in place---itching to get out on the court. It's one of the cutest things I've ever seen.



So now we obviously need a basketball hoop over our garage so Stevie can get out there and practice (and maybe teach his younger brothers a thing or two). And all I can say is it's a good thing we found a place to instruct our boys in sports---otherwise they might never have learned and ended up as athletically challenged as their good- intentioned but comically inept mother.
