Jake Update

Wow, I am behind. I took Jakie in for his 9 month appointment on Dec. 28th. I asked about his perpetual cough which never seems to go away. He never acts sick or exhausted, just continually congested. His doctor told me at his age, it's really just a sign of life. He said their little nasal passages are so tiny that the slightest thing can cause congestion, and that I shouldn't worry as it was completely normal.

Jacob's official stats are:

WEIGHT: 19 lbs 11 oz 25-50%
HEIGHT: 30 1/2 inches 95 %
HEAD CIRCUMFERENCE: 46 cm 50-75%

So basically this kiddo is just tall and lanky. I guess the height runs in the family--not sure about the lankiness. He's all up to date on his vaccines too.

In other news, he's finally started to pull himself up things! I was doing the dishes the other day (Jan 3rd) and felt something tugging at my leg. I looked down and saw Jake standing up, clinging to my leg with the most self-satisfied grin on face. It made it a little hard to do dishes, but his little smug laughter was well worth it. He recreated the little scene a bit later when Steven got home from work. Cute little stink.
